Steven Heinemann has been a studio artist for more than thirty years. He is currently represented by galleries in Canada, Europe, and the United States, with a recent solo exhibition, "Ideas of North" at Lacoste Gallery in Concord, Massachusetts. In 1996, he received the Saidye Bronfman Award, Canada's highest form of recognition in contemporary craft. He lives in a heritage log cabin near his Ontario birthplace and teaches part-time at Sheridan College. (Author bio from Studio Potter, Vol. 42, No. 1, Winter/Spring 2014.)
