Aubrey Kamppila, 2017 Summer InternWe are thrilled to have Aubrey Kamppila with us this summer as an editorial intern.  Aubrey is from Burnt Hills, New York, and currently an undergraduate student at Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. She is an English major and a Studio Art minor, with particular interests in creative writing, editing, and ceramics. Although she is fairly new to the world of ceramics, her time in the classroom with professor, Tina Gebhart, has encouraged her to further explore writing, art, and the places in which those disciplines intersect.

In her first few days in the Studio Potter world headquarters, Aubrey has helped us pack up our gifts for our CLAYAKAR Yunomi show donors and raffle winners, and develop our digital archive online. She’s just posted several back-issue articles, including some by Paulus Berensohn (1933-2017), Robbin Hopper (1939-2017), Adam Chau, who has an article in the upcoming issue ("Borders and Boundaries," Summer/Fall 2017), and Leanne Cambric, who contributed to our current issue ("Women In Ceramics," Winter/Spring 2017).

Audrey will be working with us through mid-August and the publishing of our upcoming Summer/Fall issue. Welcome, Aubrey!
