Author Bio

Kathy Erteman

Kathy Erteman was born in Southern California. She began making ceramics in a Los Angeles studio as a teenager. Erteman received her BFA from California State University Long Beach, and interned with Judy Chicago on the Dinner Party Project. A studio artist making vessels and wall sculpture, she divides her time between New York City and upstate NY. Periodically she travels to China to work with Tibetan artisan potters as a Design Consultant.
